A Note to the Teacher
Tim’s mom got a postcard in the mail. It said that Tim’s last visit to the dentist was six months ago. It’s time for Tim’s teeth to be cleaned. Mom knows it is best to have his teeth cleaned and checked twice a year. (It’s good for Mom to have her teeth checked twice a year too.)
Mom wrote a note to Tim’s teacher. The note said
Dear Ms. Dorn,
Tim has to go to the dentist today. I will pick him up at
10:00 this morning. I plan to have him back to school
By 11:00 a.m.
Thank you.
Mom signed her name at the bottom of the note.
She put the note in Tim’s school folder. She told Tim to give the note to his teacher.
Mom got to school a little before 10:00 a.m. She went to the school office. She signed the form that said she was taking Tim out of school. Then she went to Ms. Dorn’s classroom. Tim was ready to go.
