Mom Makes Learning Fun

Kay counts out loud with her three-year-old daughter, Zoe, “One, two, three, four.” They count the number of forks as they set the table for lunch.

Kay has a set of letters that stick to the fridge. They are magnets. Kay picks out the letters that spell fork. She says each letter, “F-O-R-K,” as she places it on the fridge.

Kay helps Zoe at bath time. “Let’s take off your blue shirt. What color is your shirt, Zoe?” asks Kay. “Blue!” says Zoe. “Yes,” says Kay, “Now let’s take off your red pants.” “Red pants. I like red,” says Zoe.

Learning is fun. Mom teaches Zoe many things throughout the day. Each day brings more learning!
