Summer Days
Ann and her kids love summer! The sun shines. It is warm outside. Some days are even hot. Ann and her kids like to go to the lake. They often ask friends to join them.
Ann puts sunscreen on herself and her kids. She does not want them to get sunburned. Sunburns are very painful. They also cause damage to the skin. Sunburns can cause skin cancer.
Ann gets the life jackets. She puts them on her two youngest kids. She has strict water safety rules. Her young children know they cannot go in the water without life jackets. Ann knows that children can drown very quickly in water.
Ann and her kids love the lake! They swim. They play with water toys. They float on water tubes. They splash and laugh. They build sand castles. They bury their toes in the sand. Sometimes they even bury each other in the sand!
Summer days at the lake are fun days for Ann and her kids.
